Charles and Ray Eames
Dining Chair Wood (DCW) from Charles & Ray Eames. This plywood chair is a first edition (1946/47) by Evans for Herman Miller and has the original Evans label.
In 1946, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) introduced the world to the “Eames Plywood Chair” with a show called New Furniture Designed by Charles Eames. All Eames designs were made by Charles and Ray in equal collaboration. Such a partnership was considered inconceivable by most people from their generation.
