Enzo Mari & Giancarlo Fassina SOLD
In 1976, the Italian architect and designer Enzo Mari collaborated with Giancarlo Fassina to create the Aggregato series for Artemide.
Enzo Mari recalls:
I start from a utopia. That the company (Artemide) would produce some separate components that could be bought by the public, who could solve their specific lighting needs themselves, from the ceiling to the table and so on.
Ernesto Gismondi (patron of Artemide), who knows the market well, disagrees, saying that it is impossible to sell something like that.
However, he picked up the idea and Artemide put the eleven basic elements (lamps, poles, joints, light bulbs, etc.) into production, combining them into seventy-two pre-assembled models.
The diffuser is conical in methacrylate. This model in white is still produced, but only in opaline.
